Ingredients
- 3 medium to large potatoes.
- 8 or 9 garlic cloves, crushed.
- Two tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.
- Plenty of black pepper.
- Salt.
- A bowl or dish made of glass, ceramic, aluminum, or something else that can handle the heat and fits inside your air fryer basket.
Preparation
First things first, make sure whatever dish you're using fits comfortably in your air fryer basket.
Start by boiling the potatoes with their skins on in salted water for about 30 minutes, give or take. You want them cooked through but not falling apart. Once they're done, let them cool down.
Peel the potatoes and slice them into rounds, not too thin though.
Now layer them in your bowl, starting with a first layer at the bottom. Season with salt and pepper, drizzle with olive oil, and scatter 4 of the crushed garlic cloves over the potatoes.
Add another layer of potato slices on top of the first, and repeat the whole process with the salt, pepper, olive oil, and the rest of the garlic.Place the bowl in the air fryer basket, then slide the basket into the fryer.
Set it to 15 minutes at 180°C (about 355°F).
Check on them a few minutes before the timer goes off to make sure they're not getting too brown.
