Preparation
Grease your baking pan with butter and dust it with flour.Preheat the oven to 180°C.
To make the white batter, beat the eggs with the sugar in a bowl until they turn pale and fluffy. Add the butter and salt, and once everything is well combined, fold in the sifted baking powder and flour. Set aside.
For the chocolate batter, melt the grated chocolate in a double boiler with the tablespoon of water. Beat the eggs with the sugar just like you did for the white batter. Add the butter, salt, and melted chocolate, and when everything is nicely mixed, fold in the sifted baking powder and flour.
Pour both batters into the prepared pan, alternating between the two and swirling them together slightly—but don't actually stir them.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Check with a skewer to make sure it's cooked through.
Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
Use your stencil and powdered sugar to create pretty designs on top.
Enjoy your snack!
