Brussels sprouts — you either love them or you don't. If you've never tried them before, maybe this recipe will help you discover what you've been missing. It's a wonderfully nutritious dish that comes together quickly. Ingredients (serves 4) 12 Brussels sprouts. 100g smoked bacon. 4 garlic cloves. Salt and olive oil. Preparation Boil the Brussels sprouts in salted water until tender, then drain and set them aside. In a pan with hot oil, fry the chopped garlic and diced bacon. Once the bacon is cooked through, add the Brussels sprouts and let everything mingle together so the flavors can marry. Serve hot.
ingredients
for 4 stacks
- two balls of fresh mozzarella (125g each).
- two or three cherry tomatoes, ripe and firm.
- 100g cured ham, sliced very thin.
- chopped parsley.
- three or four tablespoons of mayonnaise.
- black olives.
- salt.
- extra virgin olive oil.
preparation
Put the mayonnaise, chopped parsley and ham in a blender and blend it all together.
Drain the water from the mozzarella balls and slice them into thin rounds.Rinse the tomatoes, pat them dry and slice them thin. I didn't add any salt because the ham is salty enough on its own.
Start with a slice of mozzarella, spread a spoonful of the ham mixture on top, then add a piece of tomato. Repeat with another layer of mozzarella, sauce, and tomato. Keep going until you have three or four layers built up.
Top each stack with an olive speared on a toothpick.
